Class Descriptions

Level 1

Unit: New theme every four weeks

Dates: School year classes, begin the week of Labor Day and end mid-May. Classes can be joined at ANYTIME. Summer camps/classes are held in June and July each year and have their own registration.

Age range: 3-20 months (Parent/Caregiver participate during the entire class with child)

Class length: 40 minutes

Materials: Digital home materials every four weeks to include e-book, music for streaming, and online family activities. You can choose to add on a physical book, at an additional cost, at checkout.

Description: Level 1 classes provide toddlers with a stimulating setting to explore their new movement and language skills with a sense of security, comfort, and confidence.

Level 2

Unit: New theme every four weeks

Dates: School year classes begin the week of Labor Day and end mid-May. Classes can be joined at ANYTIME. Summer camps/classes are held in June and July each year and have their own registration.

Age range: 21 months - 3 years (Parent/Caregiver participates during the entire class with the child)

Description: Level 2 classes encourage older toddlers to initiate their own ideas, nurturing social-emotional growth and cognitive development in a playful, exploratory environment.

Level 3

Unit: New theme every four weeks

Dates: School year classes begin the week of Labor Day and end mid-May. Classes can be joined at ANYTIME. Summer camps/classes are held in June and July each year and have their own registration.

Age range: 3 - 4 years (Parent/Caregiver join class for the last 5-10 minutes)

Class length: 40 minutes

Description: Level 3 classes are designed to engage preschoolers’ natural love of music and activate their imaginations, while developing their growing language and social-emotional skills.

Level 4

Unit: New theme every four weeks

Dates: School year classes begin the week of Labor Day and end mid-May. Classes can be joined at ANYTIME. Summer camps/classes are held in June and July each year and have their own registration.

Age range: 4 - 5 years (Parent/Caregiver join class for the last 5-10 minutes)

Class length: 40 minutes

Materials: Digital home materials every four weeks to include e-book, music for streaming, and online family activities. You can choose to add on a physical book, at an additional cost, at checkout.

Description: Level 4 classes offer first experiences with musical symbols and more advanced instruments, laying the groundwork for formal music introduction and ensuring school readiness.

Kinder Musicians Year 1

Unit: Year One includes 32 weeks of instruction between September and May.

Dates: School year classes begin the week of Labor Day and end mid-May. Classes can be joined at ANYTIME. Summer camps/classes are held in June and July each year and have their own registration.

Age range: 4.5 – 6 years

Class length: 60 minutes once a week. Parent/adult caregiver should plan to join the children for the last 5 minutes of class each week.

Materials: Music bag, Glockenspiel and mallets in hard carrying case, music binder with at-home activity pages and Song/Glockenspiel Book, Rhythm Sticks, and Game Pieces Pack and Cards. You will also have access to the online digital materials via the Kindermusik app, which include songs, stories, listening examples, and so much more for the duration of the school year.

Description: Kindermusik Musicians is the final step in the Kindermusik journey, and offers a pressure-free, small-group class where children can develop a strong musical foundation by learning the concepts, language, notation, and vocabulary of music and its greatest composers.

Kinder Musicians Year 2

Unit: Year 2 includes 32 weeks of instruction between September and May.

Dates: School year classes begin the week of Labor Day and end mid-May. Classes can be joined at ANYTIME. Summer camps/classes are held in June and July each year and have their own registration.

Age range: 5 – 7 years

Class length: 60 minutes, parents/adult caregivers join the last 5 minutes of class each week.

Materials: Dulcimer, Recorder, Songbook, weekly at-home activity pages, and games pack/cards/pieces.

Junior Chef

Unit: 6 weeks

Dates: The start of the 2025 Summer Camps is Wednesday, June 11th, and ends on Saturday, July 26th. NO CLASSES JULY 2-6, 2025, in observation of the Fourth of July Holiday.

Age Range: 3.5 - 6 years

Class length: 90 minutes

Description: Junior Chef is a nutrition and cooking camp for children aged 3.5-6 years. We incorporate nutritional information that is age-appropriate to help children acquire better knowledge of appropriate food choices. Each week, we will prepare a specific recipe during class. It is important to note during registration if your child has ANY food allergies of any type. Five weeks of camp will focus on the preparation of edible recipes, one week will focus on fun crafts/activities that originate from the Kitchen.

Master Chef

Unit: Five weeks will concentrate on preparing edible recipes, one week will be dedicated to discovering different crafts and activities that originate in our Kitchens.

Dates: The start of the 2025 Summer Camps is Wednesday, June 11th, and ends on Saturday, July 26th. NO CLASSES JULY 2-6, 2025, in observation of the Fourth of July Holiday.

Age range: Children ideally will have participated in Junior Chef before. Ages 6.5 - 10 years. A younger child will be considered if they have participated in the Junior Chef camp before.

Class length: 120 min

Description: Master Chef is focused on the art and joy of cooking! Music is supplementary to this unit, not the focus. At times, we may play a couple of games while we wait for our recipes to cook through. It is very important to note if your child has any food allergies at the time of registration!

Art & Music

Unit: 6 weeks

Dates: The start of the 2025 Summer Camps is Wednesday, June 11th, and ends on Saturday, July 26th. NO CLASSES JULY 2-6, 2025, in observation of the Fourth of July Holiday.

Age range: 3.5 - 6 yrs

Class length: 90 min

Description: Have a child who has a BIG IMAGINATION? Do they love storytelling and the more fantastical the better? How about making and having props to extend the newest adventure they are dreaming up? Then this is the camp for them!

Art & Music Camp combines traditional Level 3 and 4 music classes with a fun weekly arts & crafts component for a unique Summer Camp experience. Camp meets once a week over a six-week period, and each weekly meeting is 90 minutes long. This camp is for children 3.5-6 years of age. Parents/caregivers join us for the last 5 minutes of camp unless otherwise noted.

Themes change from year to year. Some of the themes that we have enjoyed in Art & Music over the last few years include:

Make Believe: Set sail on a silly Pirate Adventure, search for lost treasure, attend a Royal Tea Party, and visit our shy friend, Bubbles the bubble-blowing Dragon!
In Our Garden: A backyard extravaganza learning about the mysterious world of bugs, animals, and plants that live in our backyards and gardens.
Oh Yay! A Carnival and Parade!: Magic, wonder, and excitement abound in the world of Carnivals and Parades. We enjoy the town parade with our homemade instruments and celebrate with games and prizes when the carnival comes to town!
